It was easy to tell that it’d separated some in the bottle. And it definitely needed a shake before consuming. That’s a lot easier here than with many previous sauces, as this one is very thin. So, I resorted to my tried and true “finger swab” where I take the bottle, place my finger over the opening, turn it over, turn it back again, and swab my finger across my tongue. Now, since this sauce uses Pepper X, the hottest peppers currently available on the planet, I knew that I wouldn’t be able to handle a whole pan’s worth of wings coated in it. I can also smell the heat of the Pepper X. It’s got that sour-vinegar scent that I’m not particularly fond of. The Classic had a lot more of a vinegar bite than I really like in a sauce, and that’s apparent by the smell that comes from the bottle. Opening up the bottle, it’s got an aroma that brings me back. But reading it did help remind me of what I was getting into. I have enough bottles as-is in my fridge. Look at how short the post is! I had to look back to see what I thought of the sauce, as I finished off that bottle many months ago and didn’t want to order a new one just to get a refresher taste. It’s interesting to look back and see how much of a greenhorn I was back then. The Classic is actually the first sauce that I ever did as a review. The Chili De Arbol that’s usually found in The Classic has been removed and replaced with the ultra-hot Pepper X. There, they used the spice pack from The Last Dab, but swapped out Chili De Arbol for the Pepper X that’s usually found within. In the previous episode, I checked out The Last Dab Chili De Arbol sauce. The December box had spin-offs of the Hot Ones sauces. Clothing – Wear your passion for the pepper with pride!
